Lobi People Female Ancestral Figure

Description

This older female figure stands with a basket on her head and a staff in her right hand. She is wearing a leaf-like loin cloth and a pendant for a necklace. Her body has extensive scarification especially on the navel and torso. The bronze figure is made from lost wax casting and has aged green patina with brown areas.
