Among the Fang, there are two stylistic groups. The northern Fang tends to have elongated features and may be decorated with copper on the face, thorax or shoulders. Southern Fang statues tend to have shortened features and possess a robust appearance that is of a squat form and somewhat rounded a proportionately enormous head, short trunk and legs. The impression is one of muscular power.
